Summer-meeting in Gdansk: Successful
work in the sunshine.
The second HB-GD NGO-Act was a flourishing follow-up conference
The second reunion of the Bremen-Gdansk NGO-Forum
took place 30 June – 2 July 2006 in Gdansk. After several
preparatory meetings of the Bremen group in Kulturzentrum
Lagerhaus 19 German project participants who represented 11
organisations started their bus journey to Gdansk in the morning
of 30 June at the central bus station of Bremen. When they
arrived at the conference place in the evening they reunited
with the 2 other participants from another organisation who
had travelled by train. So it was a total of 21 German people
representing 12 organisations who met their Polish partners
(the project manager on the Bremen side, Frauke Rubart, her
colleague from the EuropaProjektWerkstatt, Gregor Straube,
and the project photographer Gerd Röhlke included). The managing
director of Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus, Bernd Scheda, represented
this institution and its hostel project as well. Some other
participants could not take part in this group journey but
had visited their Gdansk “tandem partners” earlier on their
own. The aim of the second meeting of the HB-GD NGO-Forum
was to continue the negotiations of the bilateral project
tandems and to intensify the respective cooperation. Thanks
to Marek Swieczkowski, Joanna Swieczkowska and Krzysztof Kosmowski
from Pomeranian Foundation Sunflower (Pomorska Fundacja Slonecznik)
as well as to all other people in Gdansk who helped make also
the second Polish-German get-together to a successful and
thriving happening.
The results of the talks are documented in the protocols which
you can find when you get on the point “ngo/projects” of this
website. Thanks to Gerd Röhlke who made almost all the nice
photos which you can see there and here below where they illustrate
the course of the whole event, to start with a picture of
the planning session on 30 March 2006 in Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus
(Frauke Rubart, Angelika Zollmann, Bernd Scheda).
